The Greater Mobile Chapter of The Links Incorporated was chartered on March 15, 1991. The journey to Linkdom began for twenty-six civic-minded women during the summer of 1989, when they were organized by Link Michelle Andrews Foster who, along with her sister Link Lillian Andrews Ponquinette, expressed an interest in forming a chapter of The Links, Incorporated in Mobile, Alabama.  These lovely ladies were new residents and third generation Links who had moved to Mobile from Tampa, Florida.  They saw the need for a chapter of The Links, Inc. in this bustling, seaport city. Michelle and Lillian explained the procedures required to form a chapter and the women present agreed to pursue the idea.
